12 Jun Harness the power of your beliefs
I remember when I almost quit coaching. I’d never felt so bad.
See, I truly believed I’d failed.
It was absolutely unexpected.
I felt defeated.
I’d worked so hard. None of it mattered.
I was so tunneled in on what wasn’t working. It consumed me.
I was a failure.
It surprised me. I didn’t think it’d be this hard. I really believed transitioning from counseling to coaching would be a breeze.
Have you ever had that happen? Tried something you thought you’d be successful at only to end up feeling like a complete failure?
I’d been so focused on how I’d failed that I couldn’t even see the truth.
How many times have you told yourself you’re not good at something? Decided to quit before it got worse?
Here’s why this matters to you. Your beliefs are powerful. You can choose to buy into them. Or, you can choose to question them.
See when I sat down and examined the evidence. It dawned on me that I had a choice. And, so do you.
You get to decide how you see things. There is so much power at the moment you recognize that you have a choice.
This moved me out of failure. It had me re-commit to coaching. To keep moving forward.
What would happen in your life if you stopped letting failure get to you? How would your life change?
